Public Relations Perplexed by Digital MediaThe writing is on the wall, and it's been there for awhile. Digital Media is quickly and most certainly taking over Print Media. Advertising in the Print Media has dropped by 23% in the last 2 years. Almost 1 out of every 5 journalists that were working for newspapers in 2001 are now not working for newspapers. Public Relations people are trying to monetize online media and divorcing themselves from the dying print media at the same time. Read the whole story here.

The FDA is going after General Mills for claiming that Cheerios is "clinically proven to lower cholesterol" without getting approved as a new drug. In a letter to General Mills, the FDA says that the labeling on the Cheerios boxes is "in serious violation" of federal rules and that Cheerios, " may not be legally marketed with the above claims in the United States without an approved new drug application."
