Sunkist Salmonella Pistachios Nationwide Recall

Sunkist will be needing some good old fashioned Public Relations solutions after the nationwide, voluntary Pistachios Recall . The recall was issued because of possible Salmonella contamination. Sunkist's public relations problem is most definitely only going to get bigger and worse as those same pistachios are in other packaged products. Some news sources are only pointing the finger at Sunkist and some are saying that it's a smart idea to not eat any pistachios until authorities get a better handle on the problem.

A month ago Microsoft filed a case against the company TomTom regarding their GPS car system and the software it uses. Microsoft said with an e-mail from its public relations firm Monday that TomTom has settled, agreeing to pay Microsoft for technologies in their navigation and file management system. Executive Compensation has already become a PR Nightmare for anyone involved in trying to make the economic mess get smaller. It doesn't matter that the public doesn't understand that the executives at AIG could have sued the government if they hadn't been paid those large compensation packages. It doesn't matter that it could have cost 2 times as much as it did to just pay them off. The public are drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon and clipping coupons, and the guys that helped put us in the whole are getting massive pay outs.
