Nolcha Fashion Week Spotlight: Christian Benner

 
With our big Nolcha Fashion Week event coming up next week, (1/12) I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you one of the designers that I am super excited about, Christian Benner.  Benner takes existing band shirts and leather jackets and redesigns them into one-of-a-kind pieces. He even has a big celebrity following with Brandon Flowers (The Killers), Mila Kunis, Brad Pitt and Donatella Versace. His pieces have been seen in large publications such as Vogue Italia, Teen Vogue, and Huffington Post style section.  I can't wait to show you all of his new stuff from Nolcha next week! The FDA is going after General Mills for claiming that Cheerios is "clinically proven to lower cholesterol" without getting approved as a new drug. Family Hires PR Firm in Legal Battle Against Hammer Attacker

After Pittsburgh teenager Sarah Deluliis was allegedly attacked by her ex-boyfriend, 17 year-old Robertino DeAngelis, the girl's family hoped that DeAngelis would receive the appropriate punishment for his crime. Instead, he would be tried in juvenile court  and charged with attempted homicide after beating Deluliis over the head with a hammer. The family made several appeals to the office of the district attorney but were repeatedly denied. Desperate, the family turned to Forge Communications in order to have their voice heard. The family explained, " We're desperate. The juvenile system is not equipped to deal with such a violent act... I'm just a mom of a young daughter that we're trying to protect. Equifax Data Breach - PR Nightmare - 2017 (October 10th 2017)

EQUIFAX PR CRISIS As many of you are well aware of by now (September 14th, 2017), Equifax had a major security breach in July, that they did not notify the public about until August of this year. When signing up to see if you were hacked at the website they recommended, be very careful as they have added a clause which would limit your participation in a class action law suit, which is surely on the way. The company has made a series of PR mistakes along the way- and it's expected they will look after their stock price before taking care of their hacked customers. Educate yourself, and keep an eye on your credit card, and credit reports!
